- 1 / 5By Claire HawkinsWell...... what can I say!!!!! Spent a few days in Falmouth and just had to try the take away fish and chips from Rick Steins. Thought this would be a delectable experience bearing in mind the name, but how wrong could I be. The experience is definitely one that I would want to forget. The fish was grey, tasteless and wrapped in a hard greasy batter. The chips were lukewarm and bland. It comes in a posh box with a slice of lemon but was double the price of my local fish and chips from Callington and to be honest it was nowhere near as tasty. Pretty disgusting and I certainly won't be going back due to the extortionate prices and lack of quality!!!! What a complete letdown Mr Stein...... maybe you need to have a staff meeting with your chefs there!!!!!!March 17, 2017
